Universal Design for Learning and Instruction: Effective Strategies for Inclusive Higher Education

Guaranteeing inclusive, high-quality education for all requires comprehensive changes to the curriculum so that, instead of creating or perpetuating barriers, these barriers are eliminated. Universal Design Learning (UDL) and Instruction (UDI) emerge as teaching strategies that encourage inclusion in education. This study presents implementation both models within higher framework, applying them Spanish Sign Language Deaf Communities degree is studied by a large number deaf students. For this purpose, descriptive presented with quantitative methodological approach using survey an instrument. Four dimensions were established designing curriculum: course materials, strategies, synchronous management, asynchronous. After student assessment, results revealed their high level satisfaction importance had motivation, comprehension, learning relevant competencies. There was also recognition blended methods active vehicle increasing involvement participation. concludes it necessary continue progressing practical based on Design, which supports management.
